Bentley Wildlife Carvers is a group of individuals who come together once a month to share advice and experiences with carving. We all work at home carving in our spare time (or in the case of retired members - nearly all the time!). The group was set up in 1987 and since then members have come and gone, but each gaining a huge amount of experience and expertise in the art of carving. We specialise in carving life size or scale models of birds. We then etch the intricate feather patterns onto the carved bird to give it texture before painting it to be as realistic as possible. Alternatively we carve a more stylised bird or animal and give it a polished natural wood finish. Come and see us at one of our meetings - dates shown on About us page.
These are examples of the work we do.
Each year we have a group projects which have included Ruddy Ducks, Wagtails, Wrens and Grebes and starlings (in addition to our own individual projects). Click here for our Contact Page |
BENTLEY WILDFOWL AND MOTOR MUSEUM IS CLOSED TO THE PUBLIC SO WE DON'T MEET THERE ANYMORE, BUT WE ARE MEET ING AT ARUNDEL WETLANDS USUALLY ON THE SECOND SUNDAY OF EACH MONTH
